Torrid womens football team is to play Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. The womend football team, who are the only non-Romanian team to play for the national team, will take on Torrid on Sunday (19:00 CET).
The team is led by goalkeeper Mimi Tassotti, who was the captain of the Torrid girlss team last year.
Torrid won the last of its four league games against Sassuolo in the second round of the UEFA Youth League in 2016.
The game will be played at the stadio olimpica in Turin, which is located about 100 kilometres from Turin.
Sassuolo’s womenve played in the Torri di Lavoro in recent seasons.
On the other hand, Torrid are in the Serie A, Europa League and Serie B. Last season, the Torrejonos were relegated to Serie B, where they have not won since.
Torrid will play the team with which they have played the past three seasons, but with a different goalkeeper and a different style of play.
A similar team won the Torriso women s national championship last year, but the Torrinos did not qualify for the next round of UEFA Youths League.
In their previous season, they finished in second place behind Torri, who won the championship with a 5-0 win over Torrid.
According to Italian media, Torri are now in a group with Torrid and Fiorentina.
After the game, Torri president Silvio Di Santo said: “Were excited to play a team from Torrid, who represent Torris culture, history and heritage.
We believe that this will be a great challenge for Torrid fans.
Its great to play women’s football, but we can also enjoy the game with our families and friends.”
The team will play at the end of the regular season.
