More than 5,000 women and girls across Canada have dressed up to look like the rasta queen of the world.
The costumes have come to represent women’s individuality, style and social standing in the city where they have been celebrated for generations.
The city is also a hotbed for the growing trend of rasta costumes.
Rasta women have become the face of the “alternative lifestyle,” a trend that has seen women wear colorful clothing and hairstyles to create their own image and alter perceptions of traditional roles.
The rasta costume movement has also inspired a series of popular YouTube videos that have been viewed more than 1 million times and featured thousands of rastas dressed up in the colourful clothing and styles.
The trend is spreading through the country, with more than 10,000 Canadian cities now known for their rasta fashion, according to a CBC report.
The popularity of the costumes has made them easy to find, with online retailers selling them for as little as $10 a piece.
They are also popular with tourists, as the dresses are easy to wash and can be easily returned to the store.
The number of rasputas in Toronto has grown from a handful of dozen in 2013 to over 100 this year.
They make up one-third of the city’s population, according a CBC News report.
Some women who’ve dressed as raspats say they’ve been approached by strangers.
One of them, who goes by the stage name Lady Rasta, said she has received more than one compliment when she walks into stores in Toronto.
“People have asked me, ‘How old are you?’
I said, ‘I’m 27,'” she said.
She said she is also receiving a lot of positive attention for her costumes.
“I get emails from friends all over the world,” she said, adding that she has also been contacted by celebrities including Madonna and Lady Gaga.
Rasputa costumes are not new.
They have existed for years, but the popularity of rass-themed clothing and fashion has made it more acceptable for women to dress as rasta queens.
The word “Rasta” comes from the Sanskrit word “razat” which means to become “dazzled,” according to the Canadian Heritage website.
The word also means to be “rich.”
Rasta queens are also known for wearing elaborate costumes with masks that are made of a variety of materials including gold and silver.
Rass is an old African word meaning a skin or skin covering, which is also used to describe clothing or a piece of clothing made of skin.
It is also sometimes used to refer to women who wear the costume of a woman who is a rasta.
The costume movement is also growing in China, where a Chinese term for rasta is “lily” and has been used to mean female rasta since the mid-19th century.
Rastas have been a popular subject for films, television and books, with TV shows including The Legend of Tarzan and The Rastaman Chronicles featuring rasta characters.
The CBC reported in 2017 that the “world’s most famous rasta” had died in the late 1970s.
A documentary film about the rastamans life was shown at the Toronto Film Festival in 2017.
The show was made by the film crew from the “Lily” series.
A sequel to the “Rastamania” film was also shown in 2018.
The film, called Rasta World, also features the “lone wolf” story.
